Hello and welcome!

My name is Ferenc István, I am a native speaker of German and have been living in Hungary for several years. My friends here call me Franz Stefan. I am learning Hungarian myself – not perfectly and not yet fluently, but with perseverance and curiosity.

This very process of learning has made me realize how important patience, motivation, and continuous practice are if you want to truly feel at home in a new language and use it in everyday life.

This understanding shapes my teaching. I know what insecurity in a foreign language feels like, and I also know how encouraging it is when a sentence suddenly succeeds and you can express yourself clearly. That is why I strive to create an environment for my learners where they can not only practice but also grow – both linguistically and personally.

I enjoy train rides, markets, cooking, and beer…

One of my greatest hobbies is cooking. Besides that, I am interested in many other areas – from medicine and law to technology and architecture to culture and travel – which makes it easy for me to connect with the individual interests of my students. This way, conversations emerge that are not only linguistically challenging, but also enjoyable and closely connected to real life.

My goal is that you feel at ease in German, express yourself precisely, and present yourself with confidence – both in your professional and in your personal life.
